Let me tell you a story...

Last year I participated in the ride to give thinking I would ride my bike with some great people and raise some money for a charity. I had never heard of Boys to the Bush before I started, but the journey I went on had little to do with the bike and much more to do with the people of regional Australia.  I saw first hand the lack of support and infrastructure available in regional NSW. Well-meaning and under resourced, the agencies cannot cope.

Boys to the Bush are a community organisation focused on prevention and early intervention for disconnected boys. Give a Boy purpose and watch him grow in confidence, teach him respect and we as a society reap the rewards.

The money we raised funded Boys to the Bush the opening and running of an additional branch and much needed tools in their mission to help disconnected boys.

Well, I am at it again. On 30th March 2025, I’ll be pushing on the pedals to ride from Dubbo to Leeton (look it up, I had too). We will be cycling over 475km to raise much-needed funds for country kids!

Last year we raised over $3,000 of the total $430,000 the team raised. This year I am hoping we will get to $3,300. Every cent goes to the cause. I have already paid for my participation and associated costs. All of your donation goes to supporting the great work of Boys to the Bush.

You can help make a real change for vulnerable youth and boost Boys to the Bush's impact even further. You can make a donation here and by sharing my page to spread the word. Every dollar—big or small—makes a difference and goes directly toward improving the lives of at-risk boys in regional communities.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support! Together, we’re building brighter futures for these kids.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders - past, present and emerging - and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year we ride across the land of the Wiradjuri, Ngunnawal, Tarlo, Burra Burra, Wollondilly, Pajong, Parramarragoo and Cookmal peoples. We acknowledge and respect these living cultures and their peoples, as the traditional custodians of the land on which we ride and pay tribute to the unique role that they have played and continue to play in the region.
